UDL are on the move

Posted on by in

We are pleased to announce that we will shortly be moving to new & larger offices to support our continued growth. Utilities Direct will still be based in Wellingborough but in bespoke offices,

“E7 House, Wallis Close, Wellingborough, NN8 6AG”

We have secured all of the ground floor with offices, break out room & meeting room. A shared kitchen is in the opposite wing on the ground floor.

The actual move date is fluid to suit the installation of our new server & telephone system. We will update this post when the exact date for the move has been agreed.

Exciting times ahead

Feedback from the Crew

Following the launch of our website & the news about our new vehicles we thought it would be good to hear some of their views;

Steve,

We are very pleased with the new vehicles & the opportunity to influence the management team on the final decision. We feel part of the company & have recently set up 2 monthly meetings to ensure we have a voice. This is an excellent forum for us to understand how the business is moving forward & to see the future order-book. It’s great to be part of a close knit team

Lee,

Having joined the team last year we have been very impressed by the attention to detail given on the decision to re-brand the vehicles & to play a part in the vehicle choice & extra’s, for us the agreement to provide air conditioning was tremendous, we have never been consulted before on any previous employment, it definitely makes you feel an important part of the team.

Alan,

Having spent most of my career in utilities I can honestly say this has been the most forward thinking company with respect to actually meaning what they say when stating that the teams play an active part in the shaping of the company. The new livery has been very well received by our clients & the teams having played a major part in the decision are motivated to deliver an excellent service to our clients.

Loretta,

I have been with UDL for 4 years & the last 2 of these has been the most exciting with everyone pushing in the same direction to make UDL as successful as possible. We all get an opportunity at management & team meetings to raise concerns & are actively encouraged to come up with any ideas that improve our brand. We are also actively sponsoring local businesses to put something back into the community

A new era for Utilities Direct Ltd & a significant rebranding of our fleet

Posted on by in

Welcome to our new website. We have worked closely with Outlook Creative to design and produce a site that meets Utilities Direct requirements, is easy to navigate and showcases the key services and values we provide for our customers.

We are also delighted with the arrival of our new fleet of vehicles. The decision on the make, model & specification, was agreed through a collaborative discussion with our workforce to ensure they had a vehicle that met all of their needs, whatever the weather.

The vehicles are fully equipped with touch screen sat nav, front & rear parking sensors and the most important request from our teams, air conditioning. We have also provided front facing cameras to ensure any incidents are captured to assist with any insurance claims.

The teams have also been consulted on the vehicle racking & internal layout to ensure optimum space for equipment.

We will have feedback from the teams in next month’s News on the website.

‘We have used Utilities Direct Ltd on a few sites over the last couple of years with our site at Benson being the first full self-lay, they meet our targets and are proactive in resolving any issues both on the site and with the incumbent water authorities’.
